The Film & Television Internship Program provides students with professional experiences and mentors in film and television production, producing, exhibition, promotion, and marketing.  The Internship Program expands opportunities for students, securing competitive internships with major studios and production houses; in post-production and visual effects; with talent and casting agencies; and with independent productions.  Local film-television professionals mentor student interns in production, post-production, and marketing as well as festival programming and exhibition.

The Showcase of Talent, one of the few programs of its kind in the U.S., is held annually at the University of Arizona School of Theatre, Film & Television.  At the Showcase, senior Acting and Musical Theatre majors audition for and interview with industry professionals from theatre, television and film. The audition portion of the Showcase includes contemporary scenes, Shakespearean monologues and musical theatre songs. The visiting professionals also review portfolios of undergraduate and graduate Dramaturgy and Design & Technology majors.  Through the Showcase of Talent process, our students receive the invaluable experience of interacting with working professionals, and many have realized their dreams of success, on Broadway and across the country.

The Bolton Guitar Studies Program at The University of Arizona School of Music is widely considered to be one of the top classical guitar conservatories in the United States, and possibly in the world.  It has received international acclaim through the success of its students and graduates, ten of whom have been Fulbright scholars, and many of whom have become top prize winners in prestigious competitions throughout the world.  Graduates of the Classical Guitar Program have become the finest teachers and practitioners in the field; many are currently heading classical guitar programs in the United States, Europe, and South America.

The University of Arizona School of Dance is distinctive in offering ballet, modern and jazz dance with strong and equal emphasis. Dance majors are required to study all three disciplines, and have the opportunity to work closely with outstanding faculty and guest artists, all of whom are nationally and internationally known teachers and choreographers.  Home to the UA Dance Ensemble, dance majors rehearse and perform in the award-winning Stevie Eller Dance Theatre, a 29,000 square foot complex, which houses a 300-seat theatre with spacious stage, full-fly system and full orchestra pit.  The theatre’s design -- an integration of art, movement and architecture-- features second-story studios surrounded by glass and an outdoor stage for afternoon performances.

Ranked #5 among public institutions by U.S. News and World Report, the School of Art MFA program in Photography offers courses in traditional black and white darkroom techniques, digital and other image-forming technologies, color processes, large-scale photography, video, and performance.  Facilities include group and semi-private black and white darkrooms and film processing areas, color enlargers and a 20” processor, professional lighting studio and large format digital output facilities.
