“Ask Me Anything!” is part of the new program Mentoring in the Arts Professions (M.A.P.) presented by Invisibility at Arizona Arts, in partnership with Racial Justice Studio and the School of Theatre, Film & Television.
Jared Shamberger
Shamberger is an arts educator, actor, director, and playwright working in Washington D.C. He has written and performed two solo shows: “12” and “Unsaid.” Shamberger’s film. “The B Word” will be screened on Wednesday, March 13, at 6p at the Stevie Eller Dance Theatre.
Jared is a member of the third cohort of The Welders–D.C.’s premier collective of producing playwrights. In 2020, he was named one of Prince George’s County’s Top Forty Under 40 for his contributions to the arts. As Education Director for Young Playwrights’ Theater, he designed and executed storytelling programs like the AROW initiative (Abolishing Racism and Oppression in the Workplace) to identify and dismantle oppressive systems and structures within the organization. As a lead initiative facilitator, he has been a consultant for over 40 organizations and spent five years working as an Educational Theatre Facilitator for Kaiser Permanente creating sexual health and anti-bullying workshops.
