The School of Music and AZMBA are proud to host the 72nd Annual University of Arizona Band Day at Arizona Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025.
Featuring the finest high school marching bands from across the Southwest, ranging in size from 30 to more than 250 members, each band is evaluated by a panel of expert judges from around the nation in a number of categories including visual execution, musical presentation, and overall performance.
The Sudler Trophy-winning Pride of Arizona Marching Band, under the direction of Professor Chad Shoopman, earned the 2024 Sudler Trophy. Dubbed the “Heisman Trophy of collegiate marching band,” the honor recognizes sustained excellence in the area of marching arts and community contributions and involvement.
In addition to award ceremonies, the Pride will present exhibition performances at the conclusion of the morning and evening sessions. This year’s show features the music of Lady Gaga.
