Live music is coming to your neighborhood. The Concert Truck transforms a city street into an unforgettable encounter with world-class artistry. Don’t miss it as this fully functioning concert hall on wheels rolls into Tucson to bring live, world-class music straight to the community.
“…making live music accessible to all…”
– Musical America
The Concert Truck is exactly what it sounds like: a 16-foot box truck outfitted with professional lights, a sound system, and a piano, ready to perform anywhere a truck can park. Led by Artistic Director Susan Zhang, the project was built on a simple but powerful idea: live music should be for everyone. The Concert Truck takes that idea seriously, showing up on city streets, in parks, at schools, and in neighborhoods to deliver thoughtful, high-quality concerts to audiences who might never set foot in a traditional concert hall.
The Concert Truck has partnered with some of the most respected music institutions in the country, including the Kennedy Center’s Washington National Opera, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and the Aspen Music Festival. It has featured celebrated guest artists along the way. It has brought live performances to more than 55,000 students across North Carolina alone. Multiple experiences are held throughout Tucson; see below for our full schedule of events:
