The Fifth Annual Trester Festival for Latin American Music will focus on the music of Argentina, Brazil and the United States. This year the event is taking place in two parts: Oct. 15-16 and Feb. 23-25. In October, the festival will feature a solo piano recital and master class with Daniela Salinas.

Born in Patagonia, Argentina, pianist Daniela Salinas is celebrated for her dynamic performances and dedication to Latin American and Post-Romantic music. She trained at the Santa Cruz Conservatory of Music, National University of La Plata, and JPC School of Music in Barcelona, studying under renowned pianists such as Luiz de Moura Castro and Jun Kanno. Daniela is a distinguished performer of Tango and Latin dance music, with appearances in major venues across Argentina, Spain, France, Brazil, and the USA. She premiered Deutsche Grammophon’s Pocket Symphonies in Latin America’s first Yellow Lounge and co-founded Piano Rojo Project, promoting modern approaches to classical music.
As a professor of piano at the National Superior Conservatory of Buenos Aires, Daniela also leads master classes internationally. Her work with violist Adrián Felizia, including innovative programs blending original pieces and transcriptions, showcases her commitment to expanding the classical repertoire with fresh, creative interpretations.
