Anne-Marie McDermott is one of the most versatile and acclaimed pianists of her generation, performing concertos, recitals, and chamber music across the United States, Europe, and Asia. She serves as music and artistic director of Colorado’s Bravo! Vail music festival through 2026, as well as artistic director of Florida’s Ocean Reef Chamber Music Festival and Oklahoma State University’s McKnight Center Chamber Music Festival.
McDermott’s repertoire spans from Bach and Beethoven to Prokofiev and contemporary composers. She is currently recording the complete Beethoven piano concertos with Mexico City’s Orquesta Sinfónica de Minería and has released critically acclaimed recordings including Prokofiev’s complete piano sonatas, Bach’s English Suites and Partitas, and Gershwin’s complete works for piano and orchestra with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, she has received the Mortimer Levitt Career Development Award for Women, won the Young Concert Artists auditions, earned an Avery Fisher Career Grant, and received a 2024 Honorary Doctorate from the Manhattan School of Music.
