Ballet BC is Canada’s preeminent contemporary dance company led by Artistic Director Medhi Walerski. For over 40 years, Ballet BC has been at the forefront of creating, producing, and educating contemporary dance around the world. BOLERO X, set to French composer Maurice Ravel’s 1928 masterpiece, Bolero, features a 20-member ensemble in breathtaking synchronization as they mimic the score, gradually building towards a hypnotizing crescendo.
SWAY is an intimate exploration of hope inspired by Emily Dickinson’s Hope is the thing with Feathers—seven graceful dancers in fluid, harmonic transitions between duets and the group.
