Free Admission
If you haven’t had a chance to see “Woman-Ochre” – the UAMA’s stolen, recovered, restored and now returned painting – Fall Community Day is a great time!
Oct. 22 | Noon – 4p | Free Admission
Enjoy pay-what-you-wish admission, artmaking activities, the latest exhibitions, and a day at the Museum with friends and family.
Kindness is at the heart of the incredible “Woman-Ochre” story – its donation to the Museum in memory of a beloved son, its miraculous recovery by three honest people who asked for nothing in return, and its painstaking restoration by the Getty Museum at no cost to the UAMA. Join us in celebrating kindness by bringing non-perishable food items for the University Campus Pantry, and learn from Ben’s Bells about their “Be Kind” mission.
Outspokin’ and Bookish Zine Bike with be there too, and DJ Shorty will supply the jams!
Current exhibitions include “Restored: The Return of ‘Woman-Ochre,'” “Abstract Perspectives in Mid-Century Art” and “Mapping Q: Still Here / Still Queer.”
