For this first-ever collaboration, The Helios Ensemble and Symphonic Choir will combine to perform the majestic double-choir music of Mexican composer Antonio de Salazar and Italian composer Raffaella Aleotti.

In addition, The Helios Ensemble, a 50-person community chorus with Dr. Ben Hansen, conductor, will present a program of works from around the globe, and Symphonic Choir will perform James Whitbourn’s mystical Son of God Mass for choir, organ (Chad Pittman) and soprano saxophone (Eddie Goodman).

The Symphonic Choir is the premier choral ensemble at the University of Arizona — Dr. Elizabeth Schauer, conductor — with a mixed voice membership made up mostly of graduate voice and choral conducting majors, and advanced undergraduates in vocal performance and music education.

Tickets are $15. Student tickets are free.
