Reception: Thursday, April 16, 4-6 p.m.
Drawing on feminist perspectives, graduating School of Art 2D artist Melanie Richardson displays her exhibition titled, “Lifting the Veil,” in the Lionel Rombach Gallery.
The April 14-24 exhibition serves as a celebration of women, highlighting the diverse forms we can embody, express, and endure. It explores the evolution of women’s clothing, the powerful essence of femininity, and the beauty that comes with aging.
“Lifting the Veil” aims to uplift the women in our lives while fostering meaningful conversations about female issues.
A reception will be held Thursday, April 16, from 4 to 6 p.m. in Rombach and the School of Art lobby. The gallery, 1031 N. Olive Road, is open Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
