What do an arrogant AI painter, an eerie guestbook, a missing chicken, a resentful dancer, a father-daughter camping trip, a quest for vengeance, two sisters at a party, a trio stuck on a backroad, and a woman stuck in a rom-com world have in common?

They are all part of MAGIC HOUR, a free screening of short fiction films made by students in the University of Arizona’s School of Theatre, Film & Television and they will all premiere on May 14 in the Marroney Theatre.

  • MY OTHER HALF – Written and Directed by Lindsey Policar and Brent Cesolini
  • LOCKED OUT!  – Written and Directed by Brady McDowell, Produced by Emory Johnson and Brady McDowell
  • BACKROADS – Written and Directed by Marcus Thomas, Produced by Marcus Thomas & Garrett Heffelfinger
  • 1, 2, 3… DATE! – Written and Directed by Kaitlyn Liddicoat and Geen Lee

The 8pm screening will be followed by a short Q&A with the filmmakers hosted by The Loft Cinema’s Jeff Yanc.
