Organizer: School of Art
Venue: School of Art Building, Room 241
Start Time: 5:00pm

Sirilak S. Rottler, a School of Art M.A. student in Art & Visual Culture Education, is holding a pop-up thesis exhibition, “Notes from the In-Between,” on Sept. 3, from 5-7 p.m. in Room 241 of the Art Building.

She says: How does the social and embodied experience of being an Asian/Thai American immigrant inform the ways I conceptualize myself as a community art educator? This exhibition serves as the culmination of an arts-based autoethnography that explores an in-between identity as the site for community building, features visual journals and socially engaged art.

The event will include food, and participatory activities include collaborative visual journaling.
