University of Arizona President Suresh Garimella expresses his thanks to the Wildcat community for their work and impact in a new “First 100 Days” video.
In it, he provides updates on steps being taken to move the university forward and highlights programs for “distinctive learning opportunities” including our very own School of Dance.
“Now, 100 days in, I’ve experienced for myself why (the university) is so special. Distinctive learning opportunities here enable our students to pursue their dreams. For instance, performances by the top ranked School of Dance demonstrate why its graduates are among the nation’s best professional dancers.”
The President closes the video with the following sentiments:
“I believe our future is bright because we are shaping it together. These first 100 days have shown me what we can accomplish, and there is much more to come. Let’s make 2025 a year of big dreams and bold achievements.
“Bear down and go Cats.”
The President shared this video in a campus-wide email, writing:
Dear students and colleagues,
Just over 100 days after joining the University of Arizona, I am more impressed than ever with this community and the work you do every day. This is a special place with amazing people, and we will continue to do everything possible to support you, your goals, and our mission.
Please see this video expressing my thanks and my optimism for our future, as well as some important steps we are taking to ensure that we reach our potential as an institution and as a community.
As we begin the semester, I also want to note especially that we are thinking of our students and families who are affected by the terrible fires in Los Angeles. Please make use of the resources available for mental health, basic needs, and academic support during this difficult time.
