The University of Arizona School of Music Summer Music Camp is a weeklong, immersive experience designed to inspire and support young musicians as they grow in their craft.
Open to students completing grades 5–9 with at least one year of experience in band, choir, or orchestra, this daytime camp brings together students from across Southern Arizona for a fun, collaborative, and enriching musical environment.

Throughout the week, students participate in large ensemble rehearsals, sectionals, and engaging electives that explore a variety of musical styles and traditions. Led by University of Arizona faculty, students, and guest artists, the camp emphasizes skill-building, creativity, and community—encouraging campers to develop both as musicians and collaborators.
In addition to rehearsals, campers take part in unique “Artist-in-Residence” experiences and interactive activities that broaden their musical perspective and keep the week dynamic and exciting. The camp concludes with a celebratory final performance for family and friends, showcasing all that students have learned.
