Join JustArts Fellow Nagasriya Ramisetty for a poetry reading and art exhibition that explores Asian American mental health, identity, and diaspora through bold artistic reimaginings of Greek myth. Blending ancient narratives with contemporary lived experience, the exhibition invites audiences to reflect on the complexities of belonging, cultural inheritance, and emotional resilience within Asian American communities.

Through poetry and visual art, bit·ter·sweet creates space for conversation around mental health stigma and care, weaving together personal stories and broader social realities. This interdisciplinary event bridges the humanities, medicine, and public health, offering an immersive experience that encourages new ways of hearing, feeling, and thinking about mental health—both individually and collectively.

Nagasriya Ramisetty is a JustArts Fellow and junior in the W.A. Franke Honors College pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Medical Sciences in the College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Humanities in the College of Humanities. Her project, bit·ter·sweet, addresses mental health stigma among Asian Americans through original poetry and visual art. As an aspiring physician focused on academic medicine and public health advocacy, Ramisetty uses her interdisciplinary background to uplift community voices and engage audiences in more humanizing conversations about mental health.
