Organizer: School of Music
Venue: Holsclaw Hall
Start Time: 7:00pm

Join the exceptional cellists of the Arizona Cello Studio, under the direction of Dr. Theodore Buchholz, for a special Halloween-themed concert. This unique program will showcase both solo and ensemble performances, including the premiere of a new piece.

Audiences can look forward to music with a macabre twist, featuring works such as Bach’s Toccata and Fugue (Fantasia), Shostakovich’s Sonata for Cello and Piano, Casarrubios’s Seven, Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and more.

The stage will be transformed with a Victorian-inspired setting, complete with glowing (fake) candles, candelabras, and projected imagery to bring the atmosphere to life.

👻 Costumes are encouraged—and audiences of all ages are welcome! While the program will not be scary, it will maintain the formal tone of a classical concert, making it a perfect event for both seasoned concertgoers and families.

Following the Tucson performance, the concert will also travel to the Benderly-Kendall Opera House in Patagonia, Arizona, Santa Cruz County.
