The Music + Festival 2021, now in its 14th year directed by Daniel Asia, will focus on the groundbreaking career of Nadia Boulanger and her renowned students.

Boulanger (1887-1979) was a conductor, organist and one of the most influential teachers of musical composition of the 20th century. She taught composers from around the world, like Philip GlassThea MusgraveQuincy JonesAstor PiazzollaMary Pierce, and many others. 

Music + Festival 2021 has six concerts, including the Music of Quincy Jones and the Music of Aaron Copland, plus, a symposium with guest speakers, and more.

Saturday, Oct. 9

Symposium: Nadia Boulanger and her Students

Concert I: Chamber Music of Thea Musgrave, Marion Bauer, Jane Vignery,  Jean Francaix, and Irving Fine
