Organizer: School of Dance
Venue: Stevie Eller Dance Theatre
Start Time: 6:15pm

The School of Dance will host its inaugural scholarship benefit on February 16, 2024. To support student success, the school will present a concert that welcomes top-tier performers and local artists to the Stevie Eller Dance Theatre stage for a concert that is not to be missed!

The School of Dance Scholarship Benefit inaugural lineup includes performances by …

  • Internationally renowned Hubbard Street Dance Company
  • Acclaimed tap dancer Maurice Chestnut
  • Ballet Tucson
  • Beloved University of Arizona School of Dance Ensemble.

Hosted by School of Dance director Duane Cyrus and co-producer Christopher Compton—the event will also feature special guest speaker, Misty Copeland—the legendary dance star and principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre.

The purpose of this benefit is to raise $100k to support student success through scholarships for the talented and hard-working dance majors in the school. Patrons can purchase admission and make tax-deductible donations at a range of levels that include thank you perks, opportunities to meet students, and an evening of performance to be remembered. Net proceeds from the event will go towards scholarships.
