A tradition since 1970, the School of Art and the University of Arizona Museum of Art are hosting the 2026 Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition along with the school’s Joseph Gross Gallery.
During the last year of their coursework, graduates work closely with faculty to develop a body of original art to present to the public in lieu of a written thesis. The end result offers visitors the opportunity to see new, cutting-edge art in a variety of mediums and styles.
Eight MFA artists are presenting their work:
In UAMA
- Arshia Amin
- Aubrey Behrens
- Andrés Caballero
- Molly Iris Etchberger
In Gross Gallery
- Alexis Joy Hagestad
- Dylan Hawkinson
- Maya Jackson
- Matthew Kennedy
The closing reception is Thursday, May 14, from 5 to 7 p.m.
During the exhibition, UAMA and the Gross Gallery will be open Tuesday-Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
